Ummm…
This is amusing. In a very, very strange way.
Also took me a minute to get, the first time I looked at it.
But it’s also strange. So don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Not sure I get it. Or at least not sure enough to guess aloud anyway. Does one need to know something about Asian culture to get the joke (uh, it *is* a joke, right?), or is it supposed to be “universal” humour? Dragon humour?

Definitely universal humor. The second panel is the key.
Would it help if I said the second panel showed them putting the dragon’s front paw into a cask of warm water?

No. I figured that’s what they were doing….so, I guess you might as well spill it.

Okay, so you don’t find the hand in warm water to make someone pee, only done in serious, classic Chinese style, incredibly silly?
Well, I did emphasize the strange initially…
(sigh)

Nah, I think that you just weren’t familiar with juvenile enough humor. I got it pretty quickly. And I was amused (though I’m slightly ashamed to admit I was amused).

Y’know, I guessed that’s what was going on in the third panel, but for the life of me I couldn’t make the connection at all. That’s why I was thinking it was some sort of “in” joke. So is that a common “wives tale,” that if you put your hand in water, it’ll make you want to pee? Never heard of that before. Thought I’d been in North America long enough to be culturally fluent. Boy, learn somethin new every day.

Oh! Wow! I never thought you didn’t get it cuz you hand’t come across that before! I thought you just found the whole thing juvenile! (grin)
I’ve never persoanlly done it, I’ve always assumed it worked.
