Tuesday Flower Pr0n

My day lilies are blooming! Unfortunately they’re kinda beat up. But the balloon flower and hostas look nice!

    Beautiful flowers.
You must be spending a lot of time to grow them and make them look nice.

There is a reason I focus in on the flowers. (snicker)

Day lilies are very forgiving, and will actually naturalize–I pay minimal attention to my garden, and it’ll get worse as the summer progresses!

That is the best way to cultivate anything, I agree.
    Maximum results with minimum effort.
After stating that fact, I must let you know I couldn’t plant “anything”, all.

You just have to know how to choose well, and be willing to put in a tiny bit of effort.

For example, I have two hardy rose bushes along my driveway. I watered them carefully the first few months after they were planted because they needed time to root themselves well.

Now? I dump the water from the dehumidifier on them. That’s pretty much it.

My vegetable plants growing on my deck? I have a number of items that have to be hand-washed. The wash and rinse water from those items waters those plants. I keep a watering can by the door and dump the water into it, then water the plants.

The trick is to know how to be as lazy as possible!

Shortest answer is “Easy for you to say”.

Even though you think you are not putting any work, you are really working efficiently – minimum labor for maximum benefit.
