So, the basement is as done is it’s going to get. Other than cleaning (yetch) and straightening, we’re done until spring (or whenever we have another significant chunk of spare time.) Grandmom is getting settled in, and we’re getting into a routine (although Thanksgiving break threw that off).

But being able to sit down and catch my breath allowed me to realize that I am so far behind in e-mails and letters, I feel like I should steal a page from S, and request that people contact me telepathically, as it would be faster than waiting for me to write.

I owe so many people e-mail that just the idea of trying to get caught up is a bit overwhelming. Especially considering the fact that I now have Christmas cards to write and send out.

So how about this? If I owe you an e-mail and you happen to read this post, what say you pretend that I wrote you, and you can respond to the things that you imagined I wrote to you. Feel free to make up as much detail as you please. Then I can reply to your “reply” and we’ll be all caught up. Won’t that be nice?

This post mostly makes me wish I *was* waiting for a reply to something…

I thought I *did* owe you an e-mail!

    Heya Meesho,

Nope, I’m still fat. Got any (easy) new holiday recipies?

    Cheers,

    Charles

Hey! I don’t think I would have asked that question *quite* that way!

But I have TONS of recipes. Wha’da’ya want? Sweets? That’s my specialty.

Although not so useful for the diet.

Have you made bread pudding with whiskey sauce? That’s a favorite around here.

Aw, of course you haven’t Meesh, I was just funnin ya. I’m always up for sweets, but my tastes be…limited. Think of that peculiar child who wouldn’t try anything if it looked or smelled funny. That’s me, but with a filled out frame. So, in other words, no pudding of any sort and tho it’s appropos this time of year, I’ll pass on the booze-tinted concoctions as well.

It doesn’t have to be too fancy at all. No matter how simple it is, there’s a better than excellent chance I’ve never prepared it.

Bread pudding is kind of a strange creature, in that it’s nothing like pudding–at least the kind you cook up from a box.

Hmm…. no booze tinted concoctions. That makes it tough. :)

How about pumpkin or sweet potato pie? Or apple pie?

Or oatmeal cranberry cookies? (Think oatmeal raisin, only with dried cranberries–a definite improvement.)

Or chocolate cookies or brownies? I’ve got fantastic recipes for both. Easy, but incredibly delicious.

I’ll start with the (seemingly) easy-peasy: chocklit cookies, please.
