Golden Compass
There’s a website for the Golden Compass movie that’s due out this winter.
If you play around on the website, you can find your own daemon.
Mine is an ocelot named Erasmus.
I’m generally not a fan of movies made from books. I’ll have to check out the trailer closely on this one.

I really liked the Golden Compass series, but I think it is very unlikely that the movies will be completely faithful to the books. I think some of the religious aspects of the book are probably too controversial for a mainstream movie.

Yeah, I read a couple of years ago that they were talking about stripping religion from the movie.
Which pretty much defeats the purpose of the story, I think. But I’ll check out the trailer.
