I love cobalt blue!

I am annoyed that I can't find the box of chopping and slicing blades for my food processor. I made (sugar free & reduced fat) cheesecake this weekend and had to use a wimpy old hand mixer.

We have the shredder/slicer attachment, and use it constantly. For slicing and shredding it works better than the food processor I think. And it's easier to deal with than dragging out the food processor.

And I love my mixer, which is why I order one proactively; heave forbid I be a week without my mixer!

I saw the red, but it just isn't me. It was cobalt blue or white on white.

I'm hoping that the Artisan will have a better low power setting than my classic. The lowest speed is just a little too fast, and since I'm too lazy to get out the pouring shield, I always end up with flour everywhere.

Oh, if you purchase nothing else for your Kitchen Aid mixer, buy a second bowl. I inherited an old old bowl from my mother, but when I'm baking multiple things, that second bowl is the most wonderful thing in the entire world.

I'd almost always go with what makes you happy over what makes you look normal/sane.

I had put a Kitchen Aid Mixer on my wishlist and picked out a couple colors that I liked. When my parents bought it for me for Christmas, however, they bought it at Walmart and it was the basic white. The sweetness of the gift and the extreme usefulness of the mixer make it quite OK, but I do look back on the color selection dilemma with fondness.

I was just looking at the pasta roller attachments online this morning. It's *such* a useful machine!

Well, the only other appliance that needs replaced right now is the toaster, and we've been considering silver/chrome for that. Otherwise, I'm all small applianced out. :)

And it's not the green that's the problem, it's the terra cotta. Which I honestly have been thinking of changing almost as soon as we finished painting it. (We put up a chair rail and painted the wall below the chair rail terra cotta to hide all the cat footprints where Kat comes tearing up the basement stairs and then manages to get all four paws on the kitchen wall at once as he makes the turn into the living room.)

But I think I am glad I choose the cobalt blue. It's such a gorgeous color.

Just add other smaller appliances in other colors, and it'll look deliberate. :) Besides, blue doesn't *not* go with green...

I think it's fabulous you picked the color you loved.
