Bra Power!

Harnessing the power of breast movement:

(B)reasts move on three different axes: from side to side, front to back, and up and down. The most motion is generated on the vertical axis. Naturally, the bigger the breast, the more momentum it generates. “Let’s face it—if you’re a double-A marathoner, you’re probably not going to get that iPod up and running,”

Neat concept, but the momentum thing makes me say “Duh”. There’s a reason I usually swim instead of run. Yes, I do run (shudder), but it is not a comfortable experience. John likes to join me on the track. Bastard.

  2. Michelle Says:

Well, they did talk about finding a happy medium between harnessing (snicker) energy and comfort and stability.

  3. kim Says:

With the cost of my last hydro bill, I would be interested in this type of technology After all, my girls could probably solve the renewable energy crisis.
No marathons for me…court order..too many small children were being harmed!

That’s … interesting … hey … I may have found a workaround for my commenting problem. I’m testing it now.

  5. Vince Says:

To prove that my strength is as the strength of ten because my heart is pure, I will refrain from all the comments that ran through my head as I read the article.

  6. Michelle Says:

Y’know Kim, to stop being silly for a moment (!) a co-worker at my last job had breast reduction surgery, and she said it was marvelous–solved her back problems and all those other related issues.

And I know I read something YESTERDAY about rating sports bras… HA! This isn’t the same thing, but close enough…Find the Right Sports Bra

  7. Michelle Says:

And because you’re surrounded by women Vince? Two of whom have talked about riflery?

And because you’re surrounded by women Vince? Two of whom have talked about riflery?

    Well….

    Perhaps just a little bit.

    I’ll tell you now
And I won’t tell you twice
    Where when and how
    I got some bad advice

I never thought I could handle
    A girl with guns
    And let me tell you
You can bet that I’m not the only one

    Stand tall, don’t think small
Don’t get your back against the wall
    Shoot straight, I can’t wait
Aim for the heart and fire away

    I’ve come around
    I understand today
    And she’s the target now
    I’m gonna have my way

    I always heard
Don’t go messing with a girl with guns
    She don’t need you
    She couldn’t love you
    She couldn’t be any fun

    Stand tall, don’t think small
Don’t get your back against the wall
    Shoot straight, I can’t wait
Aim for the heart and fire away

    An innocent bystander
Who forgets to look both ways
Who never tries to understand her
Won’t feel the heat ’til it’s too late

    Stand tall, don’t think small
Don’t get your back against the wall
    Shoot straight, I can’t wait
Aim for the heart and fire away

Hey Vince? I like you..you are a brave man (as she lowers the business end of her Winchester)

Michelle..i have looked into reduction. Even had the consultation. Still up in the air.
thanks for the sports bra link…I am always looking for the right one!

  10. Michelle Says:

    Vince is a brave man.

And lucky for him, an amusing one. :)

As far as the reduction surgery, the woman who I know who got it was *delighted* and I think wondered why she hadn’t done it earlier.

  11. John the Scientist Says:

Heh. My second date with the wife was to the gun range.’

And Michelle - just to tease - I have a little inside info on WVU, but I can’t put it on the Net.

  12. Michelle Says:

    E-MAIL ME! WAH!

  13. John the Scientist Says:

I’ve got the inside scoop AND I’m meeting Tom later today. Want a post card from Boston?

    :p

  14. Tania Says:

    Ooh. Inside scoop. How exciting.

Yeah, I’m married to the guy who’s been known to look at me and say “I’m sorry, I didn’t hear anything you just said, I was staring at your breasts.”

At least he’s honest about it. One the reasons I hated PE in HS was the breast thing.

  15. Tania Says:

Michelle, did I send you an email last night to your gmail account? Because I thought I did, but it’s not in sent mail, and I don’t think I changed my mind, but you never can tell… It was late and I was distracted.

  16. Michelle Says:

Tania, I spent most of HS with the build of a boy, and it wasn’t that much easier.

I think high school was simply invented to suck.

(And I have friends/co-workers like that. It doesn’t offend me, because that’s just the way they are.)

  17. Michelle Says:

Yes, it was a no-reply thing, so I keep *meaning* to, you know, compose a message.

    (hangs head in shame)

    Yes, I am pathetic.

  18. jedijawa Says:

I linked to your post. I like that the doctor who is doing the study is named Wang! :-)

  19. Nathan Says:

I think this subject warrants a great deal more study. I volunteer!

Put the fucking guns down girls.

  20. Michelle Says:

Hey, you men get all cranky when we make fun of *your* bits!

  21. Vince Says:

Us men, cranky? Shirley you jest?

  22. Nathan Says:

The water was cold…It was shrinkage!

  23. Michelle Says:

    Stop calling me Shirley!

That’s what they *all* say Nathan.

  24. Jim Wright Says:

“I’m sorry, I didn’t hear anything you just said, I was staring at your breasts.”

True, so true (Apologies, Wright is easily distracted by cleavage. I can’t help it, shoot me).

  25. Michelle Says:

Guys, please realize that you’re why I wear baggy shirts and layers to work.

Because it’s sometimes important to have conversations. ;)

  26. Michelle Says:

Oh! I found the article on sports bras! It was in Health magazine, and rated bras in a variety of categories and had more detail than the link on their website.

Lemme know if anyone wants me to scan it.
