Brothers Aren’t All Bad

Mine sent my grandmother flowers.

Aren’t they nice?

That doesn’t mean, however, he’s right in the head.

    Man that looks tasty.

Not the dude, not the flowers, but the sub. MMMmmmmmmm.

  2. Shawn Powers Says:

Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Eating flowers. ;)

  3. Shawn Powers Says:

Actually, I suppose depending on the flower, it could be quite bad.

  4. Shawn Powers Says:

Oh! Guess who is procrastinating when he has a deadline? :D

  5. Michelle Says:

Actually Shawn, it’s not a sub.

    It’s a hot dog.

    A six pound hot dog.

  6. Nathan Says:

That’s about the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen. It’s also a little scary to think his mouth opens wide enough to eat it.

  7. mattw Says:

New goal in life: find and try a six-pound hot dog.

  8. Michelle Says:

Yeah, that hot dog looks pretty awesome.

    Shawn: poinsettias. ‘Nuff said.

Michelle: brothers are totally awesome. My sister has one who totally rocks. :-P

Yeah, my brother’s a pretty great too. Congrats on ending up with a good one!

And that hotdog looks like it could feed a family of four.

  12. Anne C. Says:

Stike that, I just looked again and it looks like it could feed a family of four FOR A WEEK.

  13. WendyB_09 Says:

That’s a hot dog?? scarry. I’m thinking heartburn for a family of four for a week.

And, my brother’s pretty cool most of the time, too. At least since we grew up! ;-)

  14. Michelle Says:

Umm… poinsettias are non-toxic. You’ve fallen victim (to one of the classic blunders! No. wait…) to a botanical urban legend.

Yes, there are flowers that are poisonous, but plenty are edible. If you’re given a flower on your plate, it’s almost certainly edible (unless the person doesn’t like you, but that’s a different issue entirely.) The only caution I would provide is that if you have pollen allergies, you may want to be cautious eating some flowers, else you end up spending the next twelve hours with a runny nose.

And to be technical, even if they were poisonous, poinsettias don’t actually have flowers as you’d think of them. The red (or whatever color) leaves are called bracts. Their flowers are actually small pitiful things you’d hardly notice.

Regarding the hot dog, may I remind you my brother is a big guy with huge hands. So the hot dog is actually larger than you think it is.
