Sunday Photos

I’m a little frustrated, because none of the rechargable batteries I have seem to want to hold a charge, so I wasn’t able to get many pictures yesterday, despite the fact that the weather was perfect (for taking pictures that is: overcast).

Fells Point

I spent a fair amount of time wandering around Fells Point. It is within walking distance of the hotel, and a lovely place to walk, filled with old buildings–many of which have been or are beings restored.

It was the broken glass that caught my attention.

I also loved the streets in Fells Point.

St. Stanislaus Kostka

I know my grandmother has mentioned St. Stanislaus. I’m wondering if this is where her mother went to church.

I’m guessing your room is on the fifth floor?

I love cities that encourage restoration and repurposing of old structures.

For a too short a time I lived in a 1930′s office building that had been turned into loft style condos. Staring at the ceiling in my room I could still see the wood-grain patterns left by the boards used to form the concrete floors above. And they fully restored the Art Deco lobby and elevators in the process.
