Baltimore

I had a lovely time in Baltimore during Michael’s conference. I even got to see Neurondoc and her family, however, the venue of our meeting wasn’t really suitable for taking pictures, so you’ll just have to take my word for it.

Also, I can’t apparently shoot a straight picture to save my life. I’ll hope they’re a little better after some time in Photoshop. Whenever it is I have time do to that.

Relaxing

See! I sat still for at least the length of time it took to take this picture!

I dunno chick, these look pretty good to me!

Love the depth with the storm gathering over the waterfront shots. The neighborhood-scapes are very much like my friend’s neighborhood that had the loft tour this past weekend.

I could live on a waterfront in an old restored/repurposed warehouse loft…

I think the pics are lovely.

The only thing worthwhile photographing in that (unfortunately unpalatable) restaurant we met at was the squishy tomato under the sea.

Gee Michelle, and here I alsways thought you were a straight shooter!

    Bwahahahahahaha!

Those look great. Love the harbor with moon (excellent light). And the factory side with a golden glow is good.

Lotsa nice magic hour stuff. Very good. And how is Photoshopping different from a film photographer making processing decisions in the lab–toning an image, cropping it, etc.?

Processing can’t make a bad picture good, but it can make a good or great picture better. So I don’t see where you have a problem with these. :-)

    Thanks all!

I do want to see how they look if I can get ‘em cropped straight, but I was pretty pleased with this batch.

At some point I’ll feel comfortable enough to actually take my SLR with me when I go out, but for now I’ll stick with the point and shoot. Still need to go through the last of the pictures I took today, to see what I got.

I think the photos are gorgeous.

Natalie, you’re forgetting the palm reading skunk lady and Mr 50% teeth I had the pleasure to watch while you battled traffic.
