How I Know the Past Several Days Have Been Rough…

Even ice hasn’t brought the swelling down very much.

I see the last percoset in my future tonight.

    ARRGGH!

What are we going to do with you?

Rest. Keep it elevated. Start playing Echo Bazaar. Just stay off the poor foot!

    Please?

Unless you really want to go the Planet Terror route. I mean, just think about how you’ll be able to express your hatred of zombies when one foot has been replaced by an assault rifle. We know people in medicine and people who own guns. Just saying. If that’s what you want.

(And if it’s not–keep off the damn foot!)

  2. Michelle Says:

Hey now! This totally wasn’t my fault! Circumstances beyond my control and all!

Today I go back to my regular scheduled of working mornings, home in the afternoons, with a PT appointment at noon thrown in.

  3. Eric Says:

    Uh huh.

Just remember, Jim has a table saw and I’ll bet either he or John has a big gun they’d be willing to clamp to a stub. If not, I’m sure I can ask around–between the cops and the criminals, I’m sure somebody can set you up with something nice with a good kick, if you’ll pardon the expression….

    :)

  4. Michelle Says:

So. You’re hassling me–and then you want to give me a weapon appendage.

I’m thinking you didn’t get enough sleep last night,

  5. Eric Says:

Please. I think my complete lack of good judgment and common sense is a matter of public record. Look at what I do for a living, for instance.

The only evidence I didn’t get enough sleep last night is that I’m not as hyper as I’d be if I were rested and caffeinated. At the moment, I’m merely the latter, and will no doubt crash any moment now.

Just think of all the zombies you could shoot when the zombie apocalypse starts. And you wouldn’t have to worry about swelling anymore. And if it helps, you could easily paint the muzzle purple to match your remaining toes, so the aesthetics will be awesome.

Or you can rest and keep it elevated on ice. Your call. :)

Sigh. Behave better and help it to heal. I know of what I speak, having delayed my healing by quite some bit with bad behavior.

  7. Michelle Says:

    HA!

Just got back from PT, and my range of motion is excellent, and she wasn’t worried about the swelling!

    HA!

  8. Eric Says:

Uh huh. But you still need to rest and not push it so much.

(Glad you’re making progress. Just take care of yourself, okay?)

  9. Michelle Says:

Trust me, I am definitely trying very hard not to push things too much–which is why I spent as much time as possible in the hotel room.

    Really. That’s the reason. :P
