For me, the second book is the weakest in the series, but it&#8217;s still quiet good, and one you have to read.<\/p>\n<p>Carrie Vaughn and Ilona Andrews are both authors that I automatically pre-order, because I&#8217;m almost never let down.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>Anthology<\/strong><br \/>\n<em><a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/reading\/archives\/3961\">Weird Detectives: Recent Investigations<\/a><\/em> (2013) edited by <a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/authors\/guran_paula.php\">Paula Guran  <\/a><\/p>\n<p>I had this for awhile before I read it, mostly because it was a large, heavy book.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>Comics\/Graphic Novel<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/comics\/fairest.php\">Fairest<\/a> Vol. 2: <em><a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/reading\/archives\/3936\">Hidden Kingdom<\/a><\/em> (2013) Lauren Beukes, <a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/authors\/willingham_bill.php\">Bill Willingham<\/a>, Inaki Miranda  <\/p>\n<p>So that&#8217;s fifteen books, nine of which were re-reads, three of which were pre-ordered new releases.<\/p>\n<p>I think for the first time this year, I read more paper books than ebooks, due entirely to the re-reads and the pre-ordered new releases.<\/p>\n<p>Paperback: 6<br \/>\nTrade Paperback: 6<br \/>\neBook: 3<br \/>\nRe-read: 9<\/p>\n<p>As to the genre break down, fantasy won out this month, but just barely.<\/p>\n<p>Fantasy: 10<br \/>\nMystery: 8<br \/>\nAnthology: 1<br \/>\nComic: 1<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So what did I read in August?
