Not only was this a hard winter, but this bush was run over two years in a row, when cars ended up in our yard (and to be honest, I think a couple more times this winter, from cars that were stopped by the snow barrier).<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/random_michelle\/14106038211\" title=\"20140504_Spring Flowers_113 by Michelle Klishis, on Flickr\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7060\/14106038211_6767503572_z.jpg?resize=640%2C427&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" alt=\"20140504_Spring Flowers_113\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And here is my lavender bed. When we cut everything back, one single plant was coming back from the roots. The others were dead. So I replanted, and managed to find about five different lavender cultivars.
