{"id":1216,"date":"2006-02-04T14:09:08","date_gmt":"2006-02-04T21:09:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/klishis.com\/notreally\/archives\/1216"},"modified":"2006-02-04T14:09:08","modified_gmt":"2006-02-04T21:09:08","slug":"deviled-chicken-soup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/klishis.com\/notreally\/archives\/1216","title":{"rendered":"Deviled Chicken Soup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more--><br \/>\n8 cups water<br \/>\n3 lbs chicken (I never use this much chicken)<br \/>\n1 cup onion<br \/>\n1 cup celery<br \/>\n1-3 cloves garlic<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp salt<br \/>\n36-48 oz tomato juice<br \/>\n4 cans creamed corn<br \/>\n3-6 chopped potatoes<br \/>\n2+ tbsp mustard<br \/>\n1+ tbsp Worcestershire sauce<br \/>\n1+ tsp chili powder (to taste)<\/p>\n<p>Combine water, chicken, onion, celery, garlic, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then simmer for about an hour. Pull out the chicken, remove meat from the bones, dice, and then return meat to the pot. Stir in the remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, and then simmer for at least 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>This makes a lot of soup, but it freezes well. Go straight from the freezer onto the stove to reheat.
