Or, perhaps the opposite is true&#8211;I was outside almost every weekend, which left far less time for reading.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s not a bad thing.<\/p>\n<p>The best book of the month was a re-read, <a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/reading\/archives\/5258\">Child of a Rainless  Year<\/a><\/em> by <a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/authors\/lindskoldj.php\">Jane Lindskold<\/a>. I only read two new books last month, but that&#8217;s okay. May is a somewhat difficult month for me, so I&#8217;m allowed to wallow in comfort reading.<\/p>\n<p>eBook: 6<br \/>\nAudio: 1<br \/>\nMultiple Formats: 5<br \/>\nRe-read: 5<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m averaging 10 books a month so far, which is down from last year, but again, it&#8217;s not a bad thing, since I&#8217;ve been reading less because I&#8217;ve been outside doing stuff. (Once the heat kicks in, I&#8217;ll probably spend my time hiding at home with the air conditioning.)<\/p>\n<p>Genre-wise, it was a smattering of different things.<\/p>\n<p>Fantasy: 3<br \/>\nMystery: 4<br \/>\nRomance: 2<\/p>\n<p>As far as author gender goes, the female authors squeaked ahead by one, still holding the lead for the year.<\/p>\n<p>Male: 3<br \/>\nFemale: 4<\/p>\n<p>And those are the books of May!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Someone was a slacker this month.
