Someone was a slacker this month. Or, perhaps the opposite is true–I was outside almost every weekend, which left far less time for reading.<\/p>\n
That’s not a bad thing.<\/p>\n
The best book of the month was a re-read, Child of a Rainless Year<\/a><\/em> by Jane Lindskold<\/a>. That was closely followed by the audible version of Halfway to the Grave<\/em>, Audible Version<\/a> by Jeaniene Frost<\/a> and narrated by Tavia Gilbert<\/p>\n Supernatural Fantasy<\/strong> Urban Fantasy<\/strong> Historical Romance<\/strong> Mystery <\/strong> Audible<\/strong> And a quick look at the numbers!<\/p>\n I read a total of 7 book, six of which were ebooks, and five of those are books I own in multiple formats. I only read two new books last month, but that’s okay. May is a somewhat difficult month for me, so I’m allowed to wallow in comfort reading.<\/p>\n eBook: 6 I’m averaging 10 books a month so far, which is down from last year, but again, it’s not a bad thing, since I’ve been reading less because I’ve been outside doing stuff. (Once the heat kicks in, I’ll probably spend my time hiding at home with the air conditioning.)<\/p>\n Genre-wise, it was a smattering of different things.<\/p>\n Fantasy: 3 As far as author gender goes, the female authors squeaked ahead by one, still holding the lead for the year.<\/p>\n Male: 3 And those are the books of May!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Someone was a slacker this month.
