{"id":12367,"date":"2015-06-09T11:00:33","date_gmt":"2015-06-09T15:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/klishis.com\/notreally\/?p=12367"},"modified":"2015-06-07T18:29:32","modified_gmt":"2015-06-07T22:29:32","slug":"hiking-wv-chief-logan-state-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/klishis.com\/notreally\/archives\/12367","title":{"rendered":"Hiking WV: Chief Logan State Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Due to the issues we had at Cabwaylingo, we didn&#8217;t have as much time as we&#8217;d wanted for Chief Logan State Park.<\/p>\n<p>Location: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chiefloganstatepark.com\/\">Chief Logan State Park<\/a><br \/>\nTrails: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chiefloganstatepark.com\/chieflogan.pdf\">Cliffside, Waterfall (partial) Trails<\/a><br \/>\nDistance: <a href=\"https:\/\/klishis.com\/notreally\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/2015-06-06-Chief-Logan.html\">2.5 miles<\/a> (including roads between trails)<br \/>\nElevation: 248 feet<\/p>\n<p>The park has an interesting history, as it was built upon old mine sites, and like several other parks\/forests in the state, the remains of mining operations can be seen. <\/p>\n<p>There is also a WV history museum that is free to visit, and which includes items from mine history and a Conestoga wagon.
