{"id":12418,"date":"2015-07-04T10:14:06","date_gmt":"2015-07-04T14:14:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/klishis.com\/notreally\/?p=12418"},"modified":"2020-06-08T14:48:15","modified_gmt":"2020-06-08T18:48:15","slug":"the-books-of-june-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/klishis.com\/notreally\/archives\/12418","title":{"rendered":"The Books of June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I read more than expected this June, mostly because <em>it wouldn&#8217;t stop raining<\/em>, so very little hiking.<\/p>\n<p>Bah humbug.<\/p>\n<p>I seem to have read a lot of <em>meh<\/em> books this month, and finished off some anthologies I&#8217;d been reading (some for years).<\/p>\n<p>The best book of the month was <a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/reading\/archives\/5276\">Salsa Nocturna<\/a> by Daniel Jos\u00e9 Older, which is a collection of short stories, set in the same world, and slowly intertwined. <\/p>\n<p>This was a very nice book, and I purchased his <em>Resurrection Blues<\/em> based upon it.
