{"id":12536,"date":"2015-09-08T07:00:46","date_gmt":"2015-09-08T11:00:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/klishis.com\/notreally\/?p=12536"},"modified":"2015-09-07T10:52:31","modified_gmt":"2015-09-07T14:52:31","slug":"traveling-wv-jacksons-mill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/klishis.com\/notreally\/archives\/12536","title":{"rendered":"Traveling WV: Jackson&#8217;s Mill"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of my favorite parts of <a href=\"http:\/\/jacksonsmill.ext.wvu.edu\/\">Jackson&#8217;s Mill<\/a> is the mill itself, which is fully functioning and grinds wheat and corn that are available for sale in the mill and in the general store.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a water powered mill, except that it doesn&#8217;t have the external paddle wheel often associated with mills (like the on at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.babcocksp.com\/\">Babcock State Park<\/a>). Instead, the water flows under the mill, powering the wheels and gears within.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s where it all begins: the pond.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"
