{"id":12952,"date":"2016-09-11T17:39:46","date_gmt":"2016-09-11T21:39:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/klishis.com\/notreally\/?p=12952"},"modified":"2016-09-11T17:42:10","modified_gmt":"2016-09-11T21:42:10","slug":"hiking-wv-panther-state-forest-wma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/klishis.com\/notreally\/archives\/12952","title":{"rendered":"Hiking WV: Panther State Forest \/ WMA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Panther State Forest \/ WMA is kind of in the middle of nowhere (though not quite the middle of nowhere as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cabwaylingo.com\/\">Cabwaylingo<\/a> which had multiple one-lane bridges on the route in and out), and the drive was all on windy rural roads (which made for a pleasant drive), but there were a surprising number of people there&#8211;mostly family reunion groups, but there were some teenagers playing in the creek.<\/p>\n<p>Location: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pantherstateforest.com\/\">Panther State Forest \/ Wildlife Management Area<\/a><br \/>\nTrail: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pantherstateforest.com\/Panther_map.pdf\">Buzzards Roost Overlook Trail<\/a><br \/>\nDistance: 1.9 miles<br \/>\nElevation: 1227-1631 feet<\/p>\n<p>Yes, we did hike three &#8220;overlook&#8221; trails this weekend. And none of the three overlooks were very impressive, but that&#8217;s okay.
