A Saturday without rain and mud!<\/p>\n<p>After scanning the regional weather, we headed south towardsNew River Gorge, but as always happens, I said, &#8220;Oh! Which is fine, but not what I was thinking (I was thinking a view like Long Point, but from the other side.)<\/p>\n<p>Location: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/neri\/index.htm\">New River Gorge<\/a><br \/>\nTrail: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/neri\/planyourvisit\/fayetteville-area-hiking-trails-map.htm\">Bridge View Trail<\/a><br \/>\nDistance: 1.6 miles<br \/>\nElevation: 1587-1852 feet (519 feet climb)<\/p>\n<p>It was steep (with switchbacks) and rocky, with steps made from the area stones. <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/random_michelle\/32457003347\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" title=\"2019-03-16_Babcock_028\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4851\/32457003347_45318f0dc5_z.jpg?resize=360%2C640&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"360\" height=\"640\" alt=\"2019-03-16_Babcock_028\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Not one of my favorite hikes, but I was outside in the woods, so that made it better than many other things.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Finally!
