{"id":14856,"date":"2019-04-17T06:00:04","date_gmt":"2019-04-17T10:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/klishis.com\/notreally\/?p=14856"},"modified":"2019-04-14T15:32:50","modified_gmt":"2019-04-14T19:32:50","slug":"hiking-wv-blackwater-falls-state-park-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/klishis.com\/notreally\/archives\/14856","title":{"rendered":"Hiking WV: Blackwater Falls State Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Not finding a lot of flowers at Canaan, we went to Blackwater Falls, in hopes some drier trails might have more wildflowers.<\/p>\n<p>They didn&#8217;t, but it was a gorgeous day for a hike, so it&#8217;s still a win.<\/p>\n<p>Location: <a href=\"https:\/\/wvstateparks.com\/park\/blackwater-falls-state-park\/\">Blackwater Falls<\/a><br \/>\nTrails: Elakala and Shay Trace Trails<br \/>\nDistance: 1.2 miles<br \/>\nElevation: 3082-3228 feet (212 feet rise)<br \/>\nTemperature: 68F<\/p>\n<p>Trails: Dobbins House and Pace Point Trails<br \/>\nDistance: 2.9 miles<br \/>\nElevation: 2993-3160 feet (274 feet gain)<br \/>\nTemperature: 72F<\/p>\n<p>We went out to Pace Point, in the hopes we&#8217;d see lots of flowers. Not many flowers, but still a lovely hike.
