The tiny shrimp-like<br \/>\ncrustaceans are the food of choice for whales \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 nutritionally dense,<br \/>\neasily harvested and abundant. It\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s those same qualities that make krill<br \/>\nseem like a short-list candidate for the next big protein source to a<br \/>\npair of WVU researchers. Drs. Janet Tou and Jacek Jaczynski, assistant<br \/>\nprofessors in WVU\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s Davis College of Agriculture, Forestry and Consumer<br \/>\nSciences, have been collaborating with Taiwanese scholar Yi-Chen Chen on<br \/>\na study of the nutritional benefits of krill for human consumption.
