Michael is also recommending science fiction books to her, and in the past month she&#8217;s read two John Scalzi books, and just started either <em>Spin<\/em> or <em>Accelerando<\/em> <em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>But last night, we watch <em>The Matrix<\/em> and she said it was okay, and she wouldn&#8217;t mind seeing the two sequels. Considering how violent <em>The Matrix<\/em> is, I figured that was pretty impressive. (Mind you, she chose<em> <\/em>to watch <em>The Matrix<\/em> over <em>Chicago<\/em>.)<br \/>\nHowever, she didn&#8217;t much care for X-Men, though I wonder if she would like it better watching it a second time, since things would make more sense.<\/p>\n<p>She and Michael are also watching Star Trek: <em>Voyager<\/em> while I hide in the basement, because there are <em>some <\/em>limits to my geekatude.<\/p>\n<p>Next up&#8211;we&#8217;re going to see if we can get her to watch <em>Buffy<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230; one movie at a time.
