Backlist are the ones I read late but that still made my end of the year favorites when I eventually read them.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/klishis.com\/reading\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/mockingbird-vol-1.jpg?resize=195%2C300\" alt=\"Mockingbird Vol. 1 - I Can Explain\" width=\"195\" height=\"300\" class=\"img-right\"  \/><\/p>\n<h3>Frontlist<\/h3>\n<h4>Romance<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/29GGrM0\"><em>A Gift for Guile<\/em><\/a> by <a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/romance\/Johnson_Alissa.php\">Alissa Johnson<\/a> (Thief-Takers #2) 8\/10<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>A Gift for Guile<\/em> is the second Alissa Johnson I read, and going through her backlist lead me to one of my all time favorite stories.<\/p>\n<h4>Comics<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/comics\/Mockingbird.php\">Mockingbird<\/a> Vol. 1: <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2xxOQIQ\"><em>I Can Explain<\/em><\/a> (2016) Chelsea Cain, Kate Niemczyk, Ibrahim Moustafa, Joelle Jones 9\/10<\/li>\n<li>Rivers of London: <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2cA7N7N\"><em>Night Witch<\/em><\/a> (2016) by Ben Aaronovitch, Andrew Cartmel, Lee Sullivan, Luis Guerrero : 9\/10<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/klishis.com\/reading\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Glass-Tidings.jpg?resize=200%2C300&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Glass Tidings\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" class=\"img-right\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>I loved the Mockingbird run, and like X-23, wish there were more stories with these characters as leads.<\/p>\n<p>The Rivers of London comic, however&#8230; I feel like Andrew Cartmel took over most of the story lines, and I enjoyed them less and less until I pretty much hated to last one I bothered reading.<\/p>\n<h3>Backlist<\/h3>\n<h4>Romance<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/reading\/archives\/13611\"><em>Glass Tidings<\/em><\/a> by <a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/romance\/Cousins_Amy_Jo.php\">Amy Jo Cousins<\/a> 8\/10<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/reading\/archives\/13257\"><em>Blank Spaces<\/em><\/a> by <a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/romance\/Lennox_Cass.php\">Cass Lennox<\/a> 8.5\/10<\/li>\n<li>Society of Gentlemen series by <a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/romance\/Charles_KJ.php\">K.J. Charles<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2QoJPvs\"><em>A Fashionable Indulgence<\/em><\/a> 8\/10, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2wW0Ggl\"><em>A Seditious Affair<\/em><\/a> 8\/10<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Society of Gentlemen series is not my favorite KJ Charles, but the other two books are ones I&#8217;ve read multiple times as those stories stuck in my brain.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Frontlist is books that were published in 2016 that I read in 2016 or 2017.
