Political Intrigue.<\/p>\n<p>I need to reread this&#8211;and the Initiate Brother series.<\/p>\n<p><strong>~ <em>Orca<\/em> by <a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/authors\/brust.php\">Steven Brust<\/a><\/strong> (Vlad Taltos #7) 8\/10 <sup>[1]<\/sup><br \/>\nAvg Rating: 8.0 | read 2X <\/p>\n<p>This is a series I picked up the early books used as I managed to find them. For the earlier books, it didn&#8217;t matter as much if you read them in order, as they jumped around in time quite a bit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>~ <em>Feet of Clay<\/em> by <a href=\"https:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/authors\/prachett.php\">Terry Pratchett<\/a><\/strong> (Discworld #19) 7\/10 <sup>[1]<\/sup><br \/>\nAvg Rating: 8.0 | read 2X<\/p>\n<p>Yet another series I picked up the earlier books in bits and pieces as I found them in used bookstores, though there were weren&#8217;t that many Discworld books to be found (obviously). This is part of the Watch subseries.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/klishis.com\/reading\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/01\/Golden-Key-1-e1511016980406.jpg?resize=200%2C332&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"200\" height=\"332\" alt=\"The Golden Key\" class=\"img-right\"  \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>~ <em>The Thief<\/em> by <a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/authors\/turner_megan_whalen.php\">Megan Whalen Turner<\/a><\/strong> (The Queen\u2019s Thief #1) 9\/10<br \/>\nAvg Rating: 9.5 | read 2X | Adventure, Young Adult<\/p>\n<p>This is such a good book. I&#8217;ve given it to many of the small people in my life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>~ <em>The Dragonstone<\/em> by <a href=\"https:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/authors\/mckiernan.php\">Dennis McKiernan<\/a><\/strong> (Mithgar) 7\/10<br \/>\nEpic Fantasy<\/p>\n<p>Honestly, this is one of my least favorite books in the Mithgar series. <em>The Eye of the Hunter<\/em> and <em>Voyage of the Fox Rider<\/em> I liked far more, as they were well past when he was finding his own voice and not writing his own Lord of the Rings, and more about the hero&#8217;s journey and less about the horrors of war.<\/p>\n<p><strong>~ <em>The Golden Key<\/em> by <a href=\"https:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/authors\/rawnm.php\">Melanie Rawn<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/authors\/roberson.php\">Jennifer Roberson<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/authors\/elliotk.php\">Kate Elliot<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0 7\/10 <sup>[1]<\/sup><br \/>\nHistorical Fantasy<\/p>\n<p>I remember little about this book except the Renaissance and a painting.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/klishis.com\/reading\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/05\/TheWoodWife.jpg?resize=200%2C309&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"200\" height=\"309\" alt=\"The Wood Wife\" class=\"img-right\"  \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>~ <em>The Wood Wife<\/em> by <a href=\"https:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/authors\/windlingt.php\">Terri Windling<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0 8\/10<br \/>\nUrban Fantasy<\/p>\n<p>I picked this up because I love Datlow and Windling anthologies. I remember it having the feel of a Charles de Lint, except in the desert. I feel like I&#8217;ve also conflated it with another book set in the desert&#8230; unfortunately, a search for that book led to nothing. Either it was a book I no longer have or it is this book that had the desert washes, which I hadn&#8217;t known anything about previously.<\/p>\n<p><strong>~ <em>Royal Assassin<\/em> by <a href=\"https:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/authors\/hobb.php\">Robin Hobb<\/a><\/strong> (The Farseer Trilogy #2)<br \/>\nEpic Fantasy<\/p>\n<p>I have a surprisingly larger number of books with assassins as their main characters. I loved this series when I read it, then didn&#8217;t like the Trader Ships series at all, then I stopped reading epic fantasy all together.<\/p>\n<p><strong>~ Book of Words by <a href=\"https:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/authors\/jones_jv.php\">J.V. Jones<\/a>: <em>A Man Betrayed<\/em> (#2), <em>Master and Fool<\/em> (#3)<\/strong><br \/>\nEpic Fantasy<\/p>\n<p>I have the first book in the series as mass market paperback, the second as large format paperback, and the third as hardback. So I obviously enjoyed it, but remember nothing about it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>~ <em>The Outspoken Princess and the Gentle Knight: A Treasury of Modern Fairy Tales<\/em> by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/fiction\/Zipes_Jack.php\">Jack D.
