I’m trying to figure out if it is in my best interest to switch providers (if there is a difference in mental health services etc) and came across the following:<\/p>\n
What Is Not Covered
\nSome services are not covered by the PEIA PPB Plan regardless of medical necessity. Some specific exclusions are listed below. The following services are not covered:
\n1. Aqua therapy.

\n29. Medical equipment, appliances or supplies of the following types:
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 augmentative communication devices.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 bathroom scales.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 educational equipment.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 environmental control equipment such as air conditioners, humidifiers or dehumidifiers, air cleaners or
\nfilters, portable heaters, or dust extractors.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 equipment or supplies which are primarily for patient comfort or convenience, such as bathtub lifts or
\nseats; massage devices; elevators; stair lifts; escalators; hydraulic van or car lifts; orthopedic mattresses;
\nwalking canes with seats; trapeze bars; child strollers; lift chairs; recliners; contour chairs; adjustable
\nbeds; or tilt stands.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 equipment which is widely available over the counter such as wrist stabilizers and knee supports.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 exercise equipment such as exercycles; parallel bars; walking, climbing or skiing machines.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 hearing aids.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 hygienic equipment such as bed baths, commodes, and toilet seats.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 motorized scooters.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 nutritional supplements, food liquidizers or food processors.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 orthopedic shoes, unless attached to a brace.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 over-the-door and\/or gravity traction.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 professional medical equipment such as blood pressure kits or stethoscopes.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 supplies such as tape, alcohol, Q-tips\/swabs, gauze, bandages, thermometers, aspirin, diapers (adult or
\ninfant), heating pads or ice bags.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 vibrators.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 whirlpool pumps or equipment.
