Here&#8217;s the first group. If you are interested in any of these books either post a comment or e-mail me. I read and liked these. I picked these up used for my grandmother, and she enjoyed them. Good, but the heroine felt out of (her historical) time, so I never had the inclination to read more in this series.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/mystery\/leond.php\">Donna Leon<\/a>: A Venetian Reckoning. I love Donna Leon&#8217;s mysteries, as does my grandmother. I was excited to read this book until I discovered it was actually a book I&#8217;d already read, Death and Judgment, under a different title. Grr&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/reading\/archives\/520\">Deanna Raybourn<\/a>: Silent in the Grave. Stupid heroine syndrome. And a heroine that clearly didn&#8217;t belong in the Victorian era.<\/p>\n<p>Eliot Pattison: Water Touching Stone. No idea where this book came from.<\/p>\n<p>Edna Buchanan: The Corpse Had a Familiar Face. This book actually moved more than once, and I never bothered to read it. A New York Times Best Seller. No idea why. Trade paperback.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/mystery\/alexandert.php\">Tasha Alexander<\/a>: And Only to Deceive. Miscategorized as &#8220;A Novel of Suspense. Not really. This is a Victorian romance. Not my cup of tea, though my grandmother really liked it. Hardback.<\/p>\n<p>Naked Came the Phoenix. I&#8217;d probably have read this if it wasn&#8217;t hardback.<\/p>\n<p>Murder and Other Acts of Literature. Again, if this was paperback I&#8217;d probably have read it.<\/p>\n<p>There you go.
