It&#8217;s perfect for late summer grilling.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Drunk Peaches<\/strong><br \/>\n3 or 4 fresh peaches<br \/>\n1\/3 cup brown sugar<br \/>\nfresh grated nutmeg<br \/>\n2 tbsp butter<br \/>\n2 tbsp dark rum or bourbon (depending upon your mood)<br \/>\nVanilla ice cream<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/random_michelle\/3838639504\/\" title=\"Drunk Peaches by Random Michelle K, on Flickr\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3432\/3838639504_f26242bac5.jpg?resize=500%2C375\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"Drunk Peaches\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Fill a pot with enough water to cover the peaches. Bring the water to a boil. <\/p>\n<p>While the watering is heating, wash the peaches, and then make an &#8220;X&#8221; in the skin on the bottom of the peach. <\/p>\n<p>Butter a grill safe pan large enough to hold the peaches. You can use a disposable pan if you like. I use an old bread pan.<\/p>\n<p>Place the peaches in the boiling water for one minute.<br clear=\"all\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/random_michelle\/3837847377\/\" title=\"Drunk Peaches by Random Michelle K, on Flickr\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2603\/3837847377_03ddcf06c1.jpg?resize=500%2C375\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"Drunk Peaches\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After one minute remove the peach from the boiling water and drop it into ice water.<br clear=\"all\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/random_michelle\/3838635722\/\" title=\"Drunk Peaches by Random Michelle K, on Flickr\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2566\/3838635722_b0e3342af6.jpg?resize=500%2C333\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" alt=\"Drunk Peaches\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Starting at the &#8220;X&#8221; you made, peel the peaches. The skin should come right off, although you can use a knife if you prefer.<\/p>\n<p>Cut completely around the peach, then twist slightly along the axis&#8211;the peach should come apart in two pieces. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Grate nutmeg over the brown sugar. Pour bourbon\/rum over the peaches.<\/p>\n<p>Cover entire pan with foil. When you remove dinner from the grill, place the pan of peaches on the grill over indirect heat. <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/random_michelle\/3837839759\/\" title=\"Drunk Peaches by Random Michelle K, on Flickr\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2427\/3837839759_c59e6c79fa.jpg?resize=500%2C333\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" alt=\"Drunk Peaches\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once dinner is over, the peaches should be finished.
