{"id":5738,"date":"2009-12-15T06:00:05","date_gmt":"2009-12-15T11:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/klishis.com\/notreally\/?p=5738"},"modified":"2009-12-07T20:49:59","modified_gmt":"2009-12-08T01:49:59","slug":"tasty-tuesday-blueberry-oatmeal-cookies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/klishis.com\/notreally\/archives\/5738","title":{"rendered":"Tasty Tuesday: Blueberry Oatmeal Cookies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was looking for  a new cookies recipe to try, and when I ran across this one, I remembered that I&#8217;d frozen some blueberries this summer, so that meant I had to make the recipe, right?<\/p>\n<p>The recipe was straightforward, however, the cookies took longer than expected to bake, and although they are delicious, they&#8217;re sticky and fall apart when you pick them up. But they are really really good, so I&#8217;m going to play with the cookie size and baking times to see if I can get things to turn out better.<\/p>\n<p>And definitely use the lemon oil&#8211;the lemon flavor makes these cookies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blueberry Hill Oatmeal Cookies<\/strong><br \/>\n1\/2 cup butter<br \/>\n1\/2 cup brown sugar<br \/>\n1\/4 cup sugar<br \/>\n1 egg<br \/>\n2 tsp vanilla<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp lemon oil<br \/>\n2 cups rolled oats<br \/>\n1\/2 cup toasted coconut<br \/>\n1\/3 cup flour<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp baking powder<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp baking soda<br \/>\n1\/8 tsp salt<br \/>\n1 cup semi-frozen blueberries<\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 350 F.<\/p>\n<p>Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.<\/p>\n<p>Blend butter and sugars. Add egg, vanilla, and lemon oil.
