Yum, yum yum!<\/p>\n<p>2) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hotchicksdigsmartmen.com\/\">Janiece<\/a> is made of six different kinds of awesome: Grandmom received two jars of apple butter today!<\/p>\n<p>3) I&#8217;ve been reading through baking books, but haven&#8217;t yet gotten around to writing a single review. I&#8217;ll try to get to that in the near future.<br \/>\nFor reference, the books are:<br \/>\n<em>Bakewise<\/em>, by Shirley O. Corriher<br \/>\n<em>The Bread Baker&#8217;s Apprentice<\/em>, by Peter Reinhart<br \/>\n<em>Baking at Home with The Culinary Institute of America<\/em><br \/>\nand currently on my bed stand is <em>Baking with Julia<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Of the four, I think I found the CIA book most useful; Bakewise would have been rated higher, but it really needed a better editor&#8211;the tidbits often wandered afield and never quite made it home. <\/p>\n<p>Actually, there may be more, but I can&#8217;t think of &#8217;em right now.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1) I love spring when strawberries are in season.
