And I don&#8217;t think I care in the slightest. The original receipe called for peanuts, but I never have peanuts on hand. Plus, I really like walnuts. They also called for semi-sweet chocolate chips, but I only have bittersweet chips. Plus, I like bittersweet chocolate. It also wanted me to melt the caramel candies with water, but I&#8217;m too lazy for that, so I used caramel sauce (not caramel &#8220;flavored&#8221; sauce!)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Crust<\/strong><br \/>\n16 Oreos<br \/>\n4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted<\/p>\n<p><strong>Filling<\/strong><br \/>\n1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips<br \/>\n7 oz marshmallow creme<br \/>\n4 ounces neufchatel cheese, softened<br \/>\n1\/2 cup heavy cream<br \/>\n1\/2 cup peanut butter<br \/>\n2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened<br \/>\n1 tablespoon caramel topping<br \/>\n6 ounces caramel topping<br \/>\n1\/2 cup walnuts, chopped<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/random_michelle\/6873087332\/\" title=\"Snickers Icebox Pie by Random Michelle, on Flickr\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7187\/6873087332_f28b496772.jpg?resize=500%2C333\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" alt=\"Snickers Icebox Pie\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nPreheat oven to 350 F.<\/p>\n<p>Toast the walnuts, for about 8 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>In a food processor, turn the oreos into chocolate dust. Mix together to cookie crumbs and butter, and press into a pie pan. (I think the freezer would be a whole lot faster if I make this again.)<\/p>\n<p>Once the crust has firmed up, sprinkle the chopped nuts over the chocolate, then pour the caramel topping over everything.
