Shifting Shadows: Stories from the World of Mercy Thompson<\/em>, Audio Version<\/a> (2014) Patricia Briggs<\/a> narrated by Alexander Cendese and Lorelei King<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Flailing around for something to listen to, I decided that I’d listen to the Patricia Briggs short story collection and then go from there. <\/p>\n

This collection has very few Mercy stories in, and several stories with male main characters, hence the split narration duties.<\/p>\n

I quite liked Alexander Cendese’s narration of the male lead stories. I’m fine with Lorelei King’s narration of the other stories. It’s not that I dislike her, it’s just that she doesn’t have quite the range for male voices that some of my favorite female narrators do, which is problematic in books with a lot of male characters.<\/p>\n

But despite that weakness, I’m now listening to the Mercy Thompson novels, so take that for the endorsement it is.<\/p>\n
