So This is Christmas<\/a><\/em> (2016) Josh Lanyon<\/a><\/p>\n

\"So<\/a>Adrien and Jake are finally living together, in the house he grew up in.<\/p>\n

(T)he first rule of cohabitation is Thou Shalt Not Diss the Other Dude\u2019s Kinfolk.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But before they can spend the first night of their new life together, they have arrived back from London with multiple surprises, all of which are unpleasant to Adrien. (But not unexpected to Jake).<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, Adrien, what am I going to do<\/em>?\u201d and hurled herself into my arms\u2014 much like Scout did when he was feeling the world was too much with him. <\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t look at me. I have NO idea,\u201d I said. Thankfully the words were only in my head and not in the surrounding airspace.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I really adore how much Adrien loves his sisters–even if they came to him late in life.<\/p>\n

It also sees Jake’s family attempting to reach out to him, after months of silence when he came out to them.<\/p>\n

Nobody has the power to destroy you like people you love.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This might be my favorite story in this collection, since the drama is all outside of Adrien & Jake’s relationship. They’re still working things out, but they’re solid, and that’s lovely.<\/p>\n
