Cash Evans has been watching Bailey for months–wanting what he can’t have and doesn’t deserve. <\/p>\n

And now she was here, and her dickhead boss was giving her that smug Got you look, and John was getting up to leave with utter embarrassment on his face, and she was not fucking having it. <\/p>\n

“Fine,” she spat. “I’ll go, then. Wait for me, John.” <\/p>\n

He looked over at her, something warm dawning in his eyes like the sunrise. <\/p>\n

“What?!” Michael spluttered. “Do you understand what I’m saying, Bailey? I will sack you!” <\/p>\n

“No you won’t,” Bailey said confidently, throwing off her little half-apron. “Because I quit.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But once he gets close–he’s not sure he can keep his hands off her.<\/p>\n

Not only is Bailey adorably geeky and smart, but Cash is seriously damaged goods, which: catnip!<\/p>\n

But did I mention geeky?<\/p>\n

He turned it over to skim the blurb. \u201cWhat\u2019s it about?\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cDemi-God twins. One of them has magic, the other one doesn\u2019t. The one without magic is being chased by a murderous spirit. And her sister is dating Jimi Hendrix\u2019s guitar.\u201d Jay didn\u2019t bat an eyelid. \u201cIt\u2019s set in Canada,\u201d she added.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“It’s set in Canada” totally cracks me up.<\/p>\n

I’m working my way through Talia Hibber’s backlist, but I think she may now be an autobuy, because, MAN an she write characters, and scenes that stick in my brain.<\/p>\n

I mean, one of the early scenes in Sweet on the Greek<\/a><\/em>–where Aria first meets Nik–remains stuck in my mind lo these months later.<\/p>\n

But her stories also tend to be about people rebuilding themselves, which is always a favorite.<\/p>\n

Her mother had always said that one thing everyone could do to ease another\u2019s pain was to acknowledge it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So, I heartily recommend.<\/p>\n
