Playing at detective? You should be at home looking after your poor father.\u2019 <\/p>\n<p>\u2018You may not speak about Henry Crow,\u2019 Lydia said flatly.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>On the positive side, she does get to spend more time with her best friend.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Emma sunk onto the squashy leatherette seating and immediately slipped off her heels. \u2018These things are fucking torture. How the hell did I used to wear them?\u2019 <\/p>\n<p>Lydia put her Dr Marten\u2019s onto the low table in front of the sofa and said \u2018no idea\u2019.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>There was a lot I liked about this story. I liked the conflict between Emma and Lydia, as well as how that was resolved. (Yay! Words!)<\/p>\n<p>I also liked that Uncle Charlie remained enigmatic throughout the story, and you really are never sure which side of right and wrong he lives.<\/p>\n<p>And I also really liked the ghost. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>(the ghost) stopped crying. \u2018What are you doing?\u2019 His voice was thin and impatient. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018I\u2019m listening,\u2019 Lydia said. \u2018I\u2019m being a sympathetic ear.\u2019 <\/p>\n<p>(The ghost) tilted his head to one side. \u2018Is that right?
