When I ran out of podcasts I wanted to listen to for the week, I decided to listen to a favorite: the Night Watch series. <\/p>\n

Anton Gorodetsky is a member of the Night Watch. <\/p>\n

\u201cBoris Ignatievich, you always told me I was just an average magician!\u201d <\/p>\n

But he apparently spent too much time in the office, and now gets to spend time in the field–whether he wants to or not.<\/p>\n

The book is divided into three stories: Destiny, Among His Own Kind, All for My Own Kind. All three stories follow Anton, but there are other characters–marvelous characters like Semyon, Ilya, Yulia, Olga–and of course Gesar.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s okay to get drunk, Anton. If you need to real bad. Only you have to get drunk on vodka. Cognac and wine\u2014 that\u2019s all for the heart.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cSo what\u2019s vodka for?\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cFor the soul. If it\u2019s hurting real bad.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But mostly this is all about the story<\/p>\n
