\"Feet<\/a>Commander Vimes needs to figure out who has been murdering citizens of Ankh-Morpork. And also who is poisoning Lord Vetinari, since the Assassins’ Guild swears it’s not one of them.<\/p>\n

People look down on stuff like geography and meteorology, and not only because they\u2019re standing on one and being soaked by the other. They don\u2019t look quite like real science. 2 But geography is only physics slowed down and with a few trees stuck on it, and meteorology is full of excitingly fashionable chaos and complexity.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As with all Discworld books, there is plenty of snide commentary about the world, which is–although horrifying–also hilarious.<\/p>\n

(W)hile it was regarded as pretty good evidence of criminality to be living in a slum, for some reason owning a whole street of them merely got you invited to the very best social occasions.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
