Finders Keepers<\/a><\/em> (2018) N.R. Walker<\/a><\/p>\n

\"Finders<\/a>After reading two Roan Parrish books–which are very angsty–I needed something super fluffy and happy.<\/p>\n

This is it.<\/p>\n

Griffin Burke has moved from Brisbane to Coolum Beach to take a new job–a promotion and a new place to explore. But when he finds a lost dog, he may be starting out his new life with more than just a new job.<\/p>\n

This story is just all the sweet and lovely.<\/p>\n

Griffin’s landlady is a stoner \/ hippie-type who speaks her mind–and encourages Griffin to see if the lost dog’s owner might just be interested in something more than meeting to return Wicket.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe didn\u2019t just send a photo,\u201d she said, her words slow. \u201cHe put his cards on the table, that\u2019s what he did.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cI sent him my photo first.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cThen you put your cards on the table first.\u201d <\/p>\n

I wasn\u2019t sure if she was dead wrong or very right. <\/p>\n

\u201cGriffin,\u201d she said, slow blinking. \u201cHe\u2019s interested. No one sends their photo to anyone else unless they\u2019re interested. Fact\u2019s a fact.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It’s all delightfully adorable.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you want to know if I\u2019m seeing someone?\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe.\u201d <\/p>\n

It sounded like he was smiling. \u201cI\u2019m not. Seeing anyone, that is.\u201d <\/p>\n

Okay, so that was one hurdle down. \u201cAnd if you were looking\u2014\u201d I cringed at how ridiculous this was. \u201c\u2014 and used dating apps, would you use Tinder? Or maybe Grindr?\u201d I buried my face into the sofa cushion and rolled my eyes and wanted to die. <\/p>\n

He barked out a laugh. \u201cAre you asking me if I\u2019m gay?\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It’s just sweet and lovely and so so so happy and fluffy. Just what I was needing to re-read.<\/p>\n
