\"Joy\"<\/a>The pandemic is about to get worse.<\/p>\n

The election is Tuesday.<\/p>\n

We hit a deer on the interstate and our car is now in the shop.<\/p>\n

Nothing by comfort reading for me right now.<\/p>\n

This story is just so adorable, it’s precisely what I needed.<\/p>\n

I noticed over his shoulder that several of the other construction guys were watching us with varying levels of interest. <\/p>\n

That was odd. <\/p>\n

\u201cSo I\u2019m going to leave,\u201d I stated. <\/p>\n

Silas cleared his throat. \u201cThank you for lunch.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cSure.\u201d <\/p>\n

The guys muttered and exchanged a few dollar bills between one another.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But it’s also got some lovely bits in it, along with all the fluff.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou didn\u2019t fail.\u201d <\/p>\n

I snorted. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou didn\u2019t,\u201d Silas continued quietly. \u201cPart of life is accepting there\u2019s always someone better than you at something. It\u2019s no reason to run away.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Also, there is no boinking in this book, which was another plus for me. (At least in my version. This was re-released after she got her rights back from Dreamspinner, so I don’t know if it was changed.)<\/p>\n
