Maud is 88 years old, and has lived for free in her apartment since her father died when she was a teenager.<\/p>\n

Seventy years had passed since the contract had been drawn up, and at the time no one could have envisaged that one of the daughters would still be living there.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Maud also has problems.<\/p>\n

Problems she discovers can easily be solved with just a little blunt force trauma.<\/p>\n

Yes indeed, this is a story collection about a serial killer who is also a little old lady.<\/p>\n

(S)he had learned that it was smart not to reveal that all her senses were in full working order; instead, she allowed people to act in accordance with their own preconceptions.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This collection is only of five stories. The first three stories stand on their own, the last two stories are tied together and deal with the same murder.<\/p>\n

These stories are unlike anything else I’d read previously and although it is disconcerting to find myself sympathetic with a serial killer–I kinda was, at least occasionally.<\/p>\n
