He wasn\u2019t prepared for this. \u201cI don\u2019t work for the Department in Charge of Magical Adults. If you have any concerns in that regard, I suggest you bring it up with DICOMA. I\u2019m focused solely on the well-being of children, nothing more.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The thing is, he really truly does care about the children he checks on. But he refuses to become involved with any of the children, because it is against the Rules and Regulations. <\/p>\n<p>Although on one level this is a romance between Arthur and Linus, it&#8217;s mostly discovering who Linus is as he interacts with the children.<\/p>\n<p>And the children are marvelous.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt would be better if there were actual treasure,\u201d Lucy muttered. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd what if the treasure was the friendships we solidified along the way?\u201d Arthur asked. <\/p>\n<p>Lucy pulled a face. \u201cThat\u2019s the worst treasure in the world. They already were my friends. I want rubies.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This was a comfort reread.
