He shrugged off the thought, only to freeze when a new idea hit him. \u201cWait.\u201d His heart was pounding. \u201cAm I on the list?\u201d <\/p>\n

Kathy laughed. <\/p>\n

Scott took a step back, then shut his mouth and stared intently at the counter. <\/p>\n

\u201cOh God.\u201d Kathy shook her head and wiped at her eyes beneath her glasses. \u201cWe aren\u2019t looking to get him laid. He\u2019s the settle down type.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cI\u2019m more interested in someone\u2019s excitement over something they have just discovered, than someone\u2019s smug, pompous insistence that there is a right and a wrong way to learn to love something.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cWhat should we toast to?\u201d Scott had to ask something, and that was better than everything else he could have said. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a while since I\u2019ve done shots.\u201d Cole considered his glass, then Scott. \u201cDo we need a reason?\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cOh, yeah.\u201d Scott nodded. \u201cOtherwise you just have a drinking problem.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
