And instantly falls in love.<\/p>\n

As does the woman he ends up rescuing from being burned at the stake as a witch.<\/p>\n

Yes, they were all clearly deranged, but they were the kindest, most engaging and most powerful lunatics she\u2019d ever met.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Literally, she was being chased across the country to be executed as a witch, and then…<\/p>\n

It had been a whirlwind of a week as they put together the plan and prepared for their various roles in the circus. Most importantly, Sir William had made sure all the charges against Belinda were dismissed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That might be the shortest and must abrupt conclusion to a major story arc I’ve ever read.<\/p>\n

And then there was this:<\/p>\n

Without stopping to doubt herself, she lifted the pistol and fired. The flames faded and the man tumbled forward, away from Belinda.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That is kind of a ridiculous shot to make with a pistol.
