Thanks. I get by.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen did you learn it?\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh, over the years. My husband was a Sicilian.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom this area?\u201d<br \/>\n&#8230;<br \/>\n\u201cIn a manner of speaking. He was born in Munich and only spoke Bavarian and Sicilian.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It was confusing to sort out initially.<\/p>\n<p>Auntie Poldi&#8211;who was based upon the author&#8217;s actual aunt, is rather a character.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Poldi\u2019s day always began with a revivifying Prosecco. Then came an espresso with a dash of brandy, followed by a slug of brandy without the espresso.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Auntie Poldi gets involved in a mystery when the young man who helps her with tasks around her house is murdered.<\/p>\n<p>Parts of it felt familiar from years of reading <a href=\"http:\/\/klishis.com\/Books\/mystery\/camilleri_andrea.php\">Andrea Camilleri<\/a>&#8216;s Inspector Montalbano books.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The gulf between Italian regional dialects is far greater than in most countries, and Sicilian is more than a dialect.
