\u201cLet me see if I\u2019ve got this right,\u201d said Vimes. \u201cUberwald is like this big suet pudding that everyone\u2019s suddenly noticed, and now with this coronation as an excuse we\u2019ve all got to rush there with knife, fork and spoon to shovel as much on our plates as possible?\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cYour grasp of political reality is masterly, Vimes. You lack only the appropriate vocabulary.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This book is full on snark and I love it.<\/p>\n

Killing a stranger without malice or satisfaction, other than the craftsman\u2019s pride in a job well done, is such a rare talent that armies spend months trying to instill it into their young soldiers. Most people will shy away from killing people they haven\u2019t been introduced to.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It’s also where one comes to really appreciate Vetinari.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really cannot guarantee that sufficiently clever people will be unable to read your messages!\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cGood.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cBut, my lord, they will know what you are thinking!\u201d Vetinari patted him on the shoulder. <\/p>\n

\u201cNo, Leonard. They will merely know what is in my messages.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We also spend time with Angua.<\/p>\n

When she\u2019s human-shaped she\u2019s just like a human. And what\u2019s that got to do with anything? Humans don\u2019t like werewolves. Wolves don\u2019t like werewolves. People don\u2019t like wolves that can think like people, an\u2019 people don\u2019t like people who can act like wolves.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The werewolves in Discworld are kinda fascinating.<\/p>\n

Werewolves sometimes hunt wolves.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m surprised,\u201d said Carrot. Angua shrugged. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhy? They hunt humans, don\u2019t they?”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Elsa looked human all the time, even at full moon. Andrei was always a wolf.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cYou mean you had a human sister and a wolf brother?\u201d <\/p>\n
