Cliffhangers.<\/p>\n

Do you know what this book had?<\/p>\n

Yup. A cliffhanger.<\/p>\n

Adam and Vic have had no chance to work things out, because Adam took off for Oklahoma in an attempt to save his aunt.<\/p>\n

He didn’t save his aunt.<\/p>\n

Instead, the warlock he has been chasing for years appears to have killed Sue, and the Other Side is in turmoil after the destruction of the tower.<\/p>\n

Did I mention how much I hate cliffhangers?<\/p>\n

I really can’t decide how angry I am at this story. Because I did enjoy it.<\/p>\n

Until the cliffhanger.<\/p>\n

There were even some fun bits!<\/p>\n

“A teenaged elf, in your years, is an infant,\u201d she said. \u201cWe are considered mature around one hundred and an adult at two.\u201d <\/p>\n

Vic whistled. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhat?\u201d she demanded. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s a lot of puberty,\u201d he said. \u201cI pity your parents.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But… cliffhanger! I started reading this book on the same it came out, and I got a cliffhanger.<\/p>\n

I mean, I like how complicated the family relationships were, I liked the actual realistic look at how poverty actually works.<\/p>\n

They stayed behind their curtains, peeking or glaring, at least where their windows weren\u2019t broken. The explosion had left more than one replaced with cardboard and duct tape.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And I really like VIc.<\/p>\n

But: cliffhanger.<\/p>\n
