\"Murder<\/a>Kyle Bari still lives in the home that belonged to his father, the famous painter Cosmo Bari, and makes his living writing mysteries. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat was the summer I got sick. Rheumatic fever.\u201d \u201c<\/p>\n

Which left you with a weak heart.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the summer my father disappeared.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Adam MacKinnon had been one of Cosmo Bari’s apprentices, and after Cosmo’s disappearance, went to the city for years. But now Adam is back–along with his lover Brett, an acidic and beautiful young man who asked to come to the artist commune.<\/p>\n

When Cosmo disappeared, so did his latest (and alst) painting.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Virgin is still around somewhere. I remember seeing it a few days before Cosmo disappeared.\u201d <\/p>\n

There was an astounded silence. \u201cYou never said so before,\u201d Joel said. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou never questioned the painting\u2019s existence before.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There are some interesting bits to this story.<\/p>\n

“What really happened that last day?\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t remember,\u201d I said. \u201cI didn\u2019t realize he was leaving, so I wasn\u2019t paying attention.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But the mystery felt overly convoluted at times, and I wasn’t quite sure how I felt about the solution.<\/p>\n
