This is an interlude rather than a proper novella \/ short story. We saw Gray and Scottie meet in the previous story. This story shows Gray looking after the twins…<\/p>\n

\u201cYou two doing all right?\u201d Gray crouched down by their table to avoid towering over them. He saved intimidation by looming for those who deserved it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

…and deciding he wants Scottie to be his new Sub (even if Scottie has no idea he is a sub).<\/p>\n

…whether Scottie showed up or not. It would tell him everything he needed to know about the man. <\/p>\n

Is he genuinely interested? Am I? Are the glimpses of the man underneath the blustering punk actually there<\/em>?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We see Scottie continue to fall apart.<\/p>\n

He\u2019d never possessed the tools to deal with the chaos of emotions in his life. It always funnelled into anger. The rage burned in him.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But also get glimpses of who he could be, if he ever dealt with his issues.<\/p>\n
