This series always blows me away.<\/p>\n

The stormtrooper paused awkwardly again. He obviously had as little idea as she did what Kevin\u2019s weird willingness to help was about. Lacey looked over her shoulder into those blank eye sockets, willing whoever was under there just to follow his orders. <\/p>\n

Kevin looked perplexed. \u2018Look,\u2019 he said, \u2018do you want to rob this bank or not?\u2019<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If you look closely, you can tell from the start Quill isn’t doing well, but the unit is so strange, no one is quite sure what to do about it–and if Quill is really worse off than the rest of them.<\/p>\n

Stepping into the metal room was a rumpled white man in his mid-forties. He wore a suit that looked like he\u2019d slept in it, and his eyes had a terrifying lack of moderation.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It is Quill’s journey through the three books that is most stunning. In most books, you see the hero go on and brush off trauma as if it was nothing, but here you see the affect events have had upon Quill, and his unwinding is terrifying.<\/p>\n

But mostly, it’s the details that pull you in.<\/p>\n

As he walked the corridor back towards reception, he saw out of the corner of his eye the beaten-down figure of Wilde looking at him from a corner, caring for another lost child.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

All three of the actors were surprisingly short, and thinner than human beings were meant to be. It was, Quill thought, like addressing a group of Hobbits.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
