Jonty and Orlando both survived the war–although not without scars.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would prove to me that everything was back to normal. That the last five years hadn\u2019t spoiled the world forever.\u201d <\/p>\n

They walked on in silence, each with his thoughts. <\/p>\n

\u201cDo you really think that the world\u2019s been spoiled?\u201d Orlando hated to hear his friend so glum.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But despite needing to write the acceptance lecture for his professorship, Orlando is quietly wishing for a little more excitement–another mystery.<\/p>\n

Possibly so he doesn’t have to write his lecture.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have no idea how hard I\u2019m finding it.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cOf course I do.\u201d Jonty would have thrown up his hands if it wouldn\u2019t have sent all the papers flying. \u201cI have to live with you, don\u2019t forget,”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The mystery seemed to wander all over the place–or possibly it was just my attention. Regardless, what kept me reading is simply that I like Jonty and Orlando so much.<\/p>\n
