Shall we write to Conan Doyle about it?&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That took me aback because I forgot that Doyle died in 1930, and so was alive for a decade while Christie was writing.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cYou\u2019ll find a difficulty in being a Thorndyke. You\u2019ve no medical experience, and less legal, and I never heard that science was your strong point.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cPerhaps not,\u201d said Tommy. \u201cBut at any rate I\u2019ve bought a very good camera, and I shall photograph footprints and enlarge the negatives and all that sort of thing.
